Hanoi’s Traffic Police Department has issued a detailed traffic diversion and road closure plan to ensure safety and security for the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day on September 2.

The Central Committee of the Communist Party, the National Assembly, the President, the Government, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, and Hanoi will host an official ceremony, parade, and march.
Rehearsal schedules are as follows: the first combined rehearsal at 8 p.m. on August 21, the second combined rehearsal at 8 p.m. on August 24, a preliminary review at 8 p.m. on August 27, and the final full rehearsal at 6:30 a.m. on August 30. The official celebration will begin at 6:30 a.m. on September 2.
Full road closures will apply to all vehicles during specific time frames: from 5 p.m. August 21 to 3 a.m. August 22; 5 p.m. August 24 to 3 a.m. August 25; 5 p.m. August 27 to 3 a.m. August 28; 6 p.m. August 29 to 3 p.m. August 30; and 6 p.m. September 1 to 3 p.m. September 2.
Affected streets include Hoang Hoa Tham, Thuy Khue (Hung Vuong to Van Cao), Mai Xuan Thuong, Quan Thanh, Phan Dinh Phung, Hung Vuong, Thanh Nien, Hoang Van Thu, Doc Lap, Dien Bien Phu, Ba Huyen Thanh Quan, Chua Mot Cot, Le Hong Phong, Ong Ich Khiem, Ngoc Ha, Bac Son, Ton That Dam, Nguyen Canh Chan, Hoang Dieu, Nguyen Tri Phuong, Chu Van An, Ton Duc Thang, Cat Linh, Trinh Hoai Duc, Hang Chao, Tran Phu, Son Tay, Kim Ma, Lieu Giai, Van Cao, Nghi Tam, Yen Phu, Cua Bac, Doi Can, Dốc La-Pho, Nguyen Thai Hoc, Le Duan, Tran Nhan Tong (Le Duan to Quang Trung), Trang Thi, Hang Khay, Trang Tien, Co Tan, Phan Chu Trinh (Hai Ba Trung to Trang Tien), Le Thanh Tong, Tong Dan (Ly Dao Thanh to Trang Tien), Tran Quang Khai, Tran Khanh Du, Quang Trung (Ly Thuong Kiet to Trang Thi), Ly Thai To, Nguyen Huu Huan, Ngo Quyen (State Bank Square to Trang Tien), Giang Vo, Lang Ha, and Lang (Lang Ha to Tran Duy Hung).
Temporary restrictions will also apply to various inner-city roads during the same periods, including complete bans on vehicles inside the Ring Road 1 area (with exceptions for authorized vehicles) and partial bans on larger trucks and passenger vehicles in areas between Ring Road 1 and Ring Road 2.
Authorities advise limiting travel between Ring Road 2 and Ring Road 3, especially for personal cars, motorbikes, and commercial passenger vehicles under 16 seats. Outbound roads to suburban districts, including national highways 32, 21A, 6, 18, and major urban routes such as Ho Tung Mau, Le Duc Tho, Dai Lo Thang Long, and Vo Nguyen Giap, will also face restrictions.
Parking and stopping will be prohibited along all roads subject to closures or restrictions.
