The visit carries a message that Vietnam wants to become a friend of all countries worldwide, Toan said, noting that during its development process, Vietnam attaches importance to expanding cooperation with other nations and always highly values its fruitful relations with Argentina.

He called on the Argentine Embassy in Vietnam to coordinate with Hanoi in organising activities celebrating the 45th anniversary of diplomatic ties between Vietnam and Argentina in 2018, especially cultural activities to intensify mutual understanding between their people.

Applauding the upcoming visit by Toan and other Hanoi officials, Ambassador J. Raleigh said exchange activities between Argentina and Vietnam in general and Hanoi in particular are significant to tightening their solidarity and bilateral cooperation.

The Vietnamese Embassy in Argentina and the Argentine Embassy in Vietnam always closely coordinate with each other, contributing to making the visit a success, the diplomat said.

He lauded support of the Hanoi Party Committee over the past time and expressed his belief that there would be more attractive cultural activities in Hanoi to mark the 45th anniversary of bilateral diplomatic ties.
