VietNamNet Bridge – Many people on November 22 went to Linh Dam lakeside in Hoang Mai District in Hanoi for morning exercises, and were upset to see thousands of used condoms floating on the lake’s surface. 

Used condoms of all kinds covered hundreds of square meters of the surface. Locals said they had not seen the condoms the evening before. They said someone may have thrown the condoms on the lake at midnight. They had never seen such an incident before. 

The management board of Linh Dam Lake immediately sent workers to fish out the condoms. 

Previously, Linh Dam Lake was polluted several times due to waste discharged by local people. About two weeks ago, many fish were found dead in the lake.  

Linh Dam Peninsula, located in the south of Hanoi, is among the most beautiful areas in the capital, with a system of lakes totaling more than 70 hectares surrounding the Linh Dam urban area.
