Chuong Duong and Long Bien bridges pasing Red River

Of the total, 10 will span the Red River, namely Viet Tri-Ba Vi, Van Phuc, Hong Ha, Thuong Cat, Tu Lien, Tran Hung Dao, Vinh Tuy (second phase), Ngoc Hoi, Me So and Phu Xuyen. The other four passing the Duong River are Duong 2, Ngoc Thuy, Giang Bien and Mai Lam.

Currently, the Tu Lien bridge project, which includes a road from the bridge to the Hanoi-Thai Nguyen Highway, has been underway with an investment of about 17 trillion VND (748 million USD). The project, implemented under the public-private partnership form, is scheduled to complete in 2021.

Meanwhile, the 6 trillion VND (264 million USD) Duong 2 bridge project and a road connecting it with Bac Ninh province is expected to reduce congestion in the old Duong bridge once operational in 2021.

The Tran Hung Dao bridge, to be built at a cost of about 7 trillion VND (308 million USD), is set to finish in 2019, easing traffic pressure for Long Bien and Chuong Duong bridges.

At the same time, the construction of Giang Bien bridge is hoped to promote the socio-economic growth of Gia Lam district. It has a total planned investment of over 6 trillion VND (264 million USD) and is expected to complete in 2020.
