The three-day course was for 700 traffic police officers.

According to PC67, traffic policemen will learn first aid skills for people in distress on the road, such as sunstroke, traffic accidents or pregnant women beginning labor.

It is expected that Hanoi traffic policemen will be able to promptly help the victims, minimizing human losses in traffic accidents.

This is the 2nd training course of this kind, after the first which was organized two years ago.

Captain Nguyen Minh Duc from the Traffic Police Team 1 said previously traffic police officers did not know how to handle sunstroke patients or victims of traffic accidents. They could only call an ambulance or taxi to take the victim to hospital.
