Hanoi’s Traffic Police Department has announced temporary road closures and traffic restrictions on key routes to ensure security during the National Exhibition of Socio-Economic Achievements, held in celebration of the 80th anniversary of Vietnam’s National Day.

According to a statement released on August 27, the event will take place at the National Exhibition Center on Truong Sa Street, Dong Anh Commune, from August 28 to September 5. Traffic restrictions will be in effect daily from 6:00 a.m. to midnight throughout this period.
To facilitate security and safety, the city will implement the following vehicle restrictions:
Heavy trucks with a cargo capacity of 3,500 kg or more, and buses with 29 seats or more, will be prohibited. Exceptions include public buses, garbage trucks, emergency response vehicles, security service vehicles, and police and military vehicles, as well as other priority vehicles permitted by law.
Smaller trucks under 3,500 kg, buses with fewer than 29 seats, private cars, and motorbikes will also face restricted access on several roads, including Ly Son, Truong Sa, and Hoang Sa.
During the restriction period, the traffic police will provide alternative routes and detours to redirect traffic away from the affected areas.
Vehicles traveling from provinces such as Hai Phong and Bac Ninh to Phu Tho and Thai Nguyen are advised to use Thanh Tri Bridge, Ring Road 3, Vo Van Kiet Highway, or the Hanoi - Bac Giang Expressway and National Highway 18, and vice versa.
Vehicles on National Highway 3 heading toward the Xuan Canh junction and Bac Thang Long - Vuc De junction should use Hoang Sa Street and Vo Van Kiet Highway.
Vehicles from Noi Bai International Airport should take Vo Nguyen Giap - National Highway 18 to reach Vo Van Kiet Highway or the Hanoi - Bac Giang Expressway.
Dinh Hieu
