Hanoi’s Construction Department has set up an inspection team to review apartment buildings and impose fines for violations in their use and management 



The team has nine members led by Cu Quang Anh, deputy chief inspectorate of the city’s Construction Department.

The team will inspect apartment’s investors, owners, users, operators and management boards in following State regulations.

It will also scrutinise documents on management of the apartments and maintenance funds between investors and management boards.

The team will inspect commonly-owned areas of apartment buildings to identify spaces that can possibly be encroached or used for wrong purposes. 

The team has been asked to announce the inspection schedule and impose punishments following regulations as well as report the inspection results to the director of the municipal Construction Department.

According to local authorities, there are many models to manage apartment buildings in the capital city, but shortcomings remain, which lead to complaints and disputes.

Recently, many residents of apartment buildings have protested against investors who failed to deliver the apartments as committed or due to other problems.

Hanoi’s authorities were ordered to report about the protests against investors of real estate projects to the Construction Ministry.-VNA
