Nguyen Ngoc Duc and Phan Minh Duc brought home two gold medals; meanwhile Nguyen Nga Nhi and Pham Quoc Khanh won two silver medals. They are students from Hanoi-Amsterdam High School.
Two bronze medals went to Phan Ha Linh from Hanoi-Amsterdam High School and Dang Nguyen Tien Dat from Nguyen Hue High School for Gifted Students.
The annual IJSO is jointly organized by numerous leading scientists around the world for students aged 15 to demonstrate their knowledge of and skill in physics, chemistry and biology.
The contestants had to pass through three competitions, including a multiple choice examination, a theoretical examination and an experimental examination.
The countries attending the Olympiad had a chance to exchange their valuable experience in education, particularly in teaching and scientific research at secondary schools and high schools.
The thirteenth IJSO featured the participation of 276 students from 48 countries and territories around the world. The 2017 contest will be held in the Netherlands.
