The committee has asked relevant agencies to encourage organisations, schools, businesses, and households to join together in some of the activities to promote the campaign. A number of events can be done including cycling, running, environmental protection, energy saving, and volunteering.

Local residents will be encouraged to turn off all unnecessary electric devices between 20:00 and 21:30 p.m on March 9, with a switch-off ceremony scheduled to take place in the August Revolutionary Square.

Street lights and electrical billboards that feature in many popular destinations such as Ngoc Son temple, Tortoise tower, The Huc bridge, Ly Thai To park, Hanoi Opera House, and Truc Bach lake will also be switched off.

These activities are intended to increase public awareness about energy saving, environmental protection, and climate change, whilst encouraging a low-carbon economy.
