On the morning of June 5, Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee Vu Dai Thang chaired a meeting of the Organizing Committee for the 2026 Investment Promotion Conference and the announcement of the Hanoi Capital Master Plan with a 100-year vision.
According to the plan, the conference will take place on June 29 at the National Convention Center on Pham Hung Street, Tu Liem Ward, Hanoi, with participation expected from 1,000 to 1,200 delegates. The Hanoi People's Committee is the lead organizer, assigning the Department of Finance and the Hanoi Investment Promotion and Business Support Center to coordinate implementation.
The conference will serve as a platform connecting the city government with the business community, investors, international organizations, diplomatic agencies, business associations and localities across the country.
At the event, Hanoi will officially announce the Capital Master Plan with a 100-year vision. The city will also introduce its investment environment, present socio-economic development achievements in 2025 and the first six months of 2026, and outline development directions for the next phase.
One of the conference's key highlights will be the launch of a data management and 360-degree digitalization system covering investment attraction projects across the city. The platform will allow investors to access planning information, 3D visualizations and project data through a digital mapping system and immersive 360-degree virtual reality environment available in both Vietnamese and English.
The conference will also feature exhibition areas displaying models, maps and information panels introducing Hanoi's 100-year Capital Master Plan, alongside showcases of the city's most significant socio-economic achievements and emerging technologies currently being deployed.
As part of the event, Hanoi is expected to grant investment policy approvals and investment registration certificates for several major projects, while also signing memoranda of understanding with domestic and international businesses and organizations.
During the meeting, Chairman Vu Dai Thang and members of the Organizing Committee reviewed and discussed various aspects of the conference preparations.
Notably, Hanoi will introduce special mechanisms and policies under Politburo Resolution No. 02-NQ/TW, the 2026 Capital Law, as well as a range of strategic policies from both central and municipal authorities aimed at creating new growth opportunities for the capital in the coming years.
Through the conference, Hanoi also hopes to strengthen regional connectivity and expand cooperation with localities across the Capital Region, the Red River Delta and the Northern Key Economic Region. The city aims to reinforce its leading role in innovation, science and technology development, infrastructure, education, healthcare, culture and the digital economy.
