As the Hanoi Department of Tourism looks for new nightlife destinations to diversify the capital's tourism menu, the night tour to Quang Ba Flower Market is expected to be one of four new night tourism offerings.

Located in Quang Ba Ward, Tay Ho District, Hanoi, Quang Ba Flower Market is one of the city's oldest night flower markets. Once all of Hanoi has gone to sleep, the night market opens, usually at midnight, and operates until early the next morning.

On the eve of major holidays such as Vietnamese Tet, Valentine's Day and International Women's Day, the market is even busier with a large influx of customers. The market is visited not only by flower traders but also by local flower lovers and tourists.

The Quang Ba flower market sells various flowers, including colorful daisies, cherry blossoms, roses, orchids and sunflowers. These flowers are said to come from gardeners in nearby areas such as Tay Tuu village, Dong Anh, Me Linh district on the outskirts of Hanoi, or are imported.

The market is considered a favorite destination for local flower lovers as well as foreign expats. The transformation of Quang Ba flower market into Hanoi's night tourism destination will help promote Hanoi's unique culture to foreign tourists, according to the city's tourism department.

Other three tourist destinations that are being studied to become Hanoi's new night tours include the Center for Cultural Performances, Arts, Shopping, Entertainment and Cuisine at Night in Dong Xuan Commune, Quoc Oai District; the Van Dinh Culinary Culture Center in Quang Phu Cau Incense-making Village, Ung Hoa District; the spot for night entertainment and tourist gifts at My Dinh National Sports Complex in Nam Tu Liem District.
