VietNamNet Bridge – Hanoi authorities have tested a special product from Germany to clean water in polluted lakes, with positive results.
Ba Mau Lake has no longer emitted a bad odor.
The special chemical, called Redoxy-3C, was tested at the three lakes of Giap Bat, Ho Me, and Ba Mau and the results were good. Local people had positive feedback as the lakes no longer emit a bad odor.
Also, the concentration of TSS, BOD, COD ... and coliform density in these lakes also fell while aquatic species developed well.
Tran Trong Van, deputy general director of the Hanoi Drainage Company, said that Hanoi will use the product to clean the water of other lakes in the city.
Hanoi Chairman Nguyen Duc Chung had previously invited experts from a Germany company to Hanoi to research and make a special product to clean water in the city’s lake.
The company handed over the Redoxy-3C product to Hanoi for trial use. This is an exclusive product made for the Hanoi People's Committee.
