According to the clip, a man wearing the uniform of traffic police ran from the pavement to the middle of the road to catch a motorbike carrying two people, which ran back up the street.

As the motorbike kept running, the man kicked the vehicle, which caused it to hit the median strip and fall and slip on the road. The two people were thrown from the motorbike.

The clip was posted on the Internet on July 18 and immediately attracted a lot of comments.

On July 19, Lieutenant Colonel Le Tu - Captain of the Traffic Police Team No. 3 of Hanoi Police - said that the incident on the clip happened on the afternoon of July 18 on Xa Dan Street (Dong Da district, Hanoi).

The traffic police officer is Lieutenant Nguyen Hoang Anh, from Traffic Police Team No. 3.

"As soon as the incident occurred, we temporarily suspended Lieutenant Nguyen Hoang Anh from work to clarify the contents of the clip. At the same time the case was reported to superiors," Lieutenant Colonel Le Tu said.

According to Lieutenant Colonel Le Tu, the two people on the motorcycle who appeared in the clip broke the traffic rule by running back up the road, not wearing helmets and not obeying the order of traffic police. They could also not show vehicle registration and a driving licence.

The police temporarily held the vehicle for further investigation.
