Crowds queue up to buy mooncakes from a traditional cake shop on Thuy Khe street, in Tay Ho district of Hanoi on Full Moon Festival. ![]() Several days ahead of the Mid-Autumn Festival, people line up along the Thuy Khe street from the early morning to evening as they wait to buy their mooncakes. ![]() The cake shop’s traditional mooncakes are directly baked in ovens and are packed up straight away for the customers. ![]() They sell two types of mooncake, baked mooncakes and jelly cakes. The price of mooncakes ranges from VND50,000 to VND70,000 each or VND190,000 per box. ![]() The cake shop’s staff are rushed off their feet selling mooncakes due to the large number of customers. ![]() This year, people can buy an unlimited quantity of mooncakes for their families.
Some people are paid to queue up and buy mooncakes for other people.
