VietNamNet Bridge - As many as 850 young people held each other’s hands to run and arranged the map of Vietnam in the event "Happy color run 2016" at Hanoi’s Hoan Kiem Lake on Sunday.

The event started with a flashmob dance, performed by 850 young people, mainly students.

After the dance, pairs hold hands to run around Hoan Kiem Lake.

At the finish line, runners were “painted” with color powder.

Most runners tried to hit the finish gates. There are six gates, with different colors, symbolizing love, youthful vitality and the determination of youth.

After the race, young people quickly arranged to form a map of Vietnam and sang the song “I love Vietnam”.

They threw color powders at the same time to create a colorful map of Vietnam.

The program was jointly held by the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union and the Hanoi People's Committee to encourage and support the young couples who voluntarily settle and work on the islands of Tran in Quang Ninh, Bach Long Vi in Haiphong, Con Co in Quang Tri, Cu Lao Xanh in Binh Dinh, Hon Chuoi in Ca Mau, and Tho Chu in Kien Giang.
