In its direction to state agencies in districts about the regulation of wildlife protection, the People’s Committee in Ho Chi Minh City bans gifting rare animals or release dangerous imported animals.

In an effort to tighten control of rare wildlife sales and consumption, city authorities asked managers in agencies and departments to popularize the regulation of wildlife protection especially these listed in the decree No.160/ 2013 to its staffs.

According to the regulation, city authorities orders civil servants and city dwellers not to buy, sell or gift rare animals or release dangerous imported animals.

Moreover, managers of forest rangers, border gate stations and police in the city have been asked to enhance monitor in restaurants as well as issue severe penalties on violators.
