22,000 employees needed for electronics and information technology


There will be 130,000 new jobs available. Tran Tuan Anh, deputy director of Falmi, said there would be 90,000 new jobs in the first quarter, 75,000 in the second, 80,000 in the third and 75,000 in the final quarter.

Strong development and demands are predicted for sectors that use technology such as support industry, information technology, network security, information security, e-commerce, tourism, health and hi-tech agriculture.

56,200 are needed in trade and 22,000 employees needed for electronics and information technology. Engineering would need 15,600 employees and food processing 9,000 employees.

One of the reasons for increasing demand for human resources is the strong development of e-commerce. More and more firms are opening online stores and technology is changing every day, creating more job opportunities. Moreover, HCM City is also rolling out the master plan on developing into a smart city in the 2017-2020 period, with a view to 2025 so the need for technology is high.
