All administrative units of Ho Chi Minh City need to build applications (apps) so that local people could access information via their smart devices, said Tran Vinh Tuyen, Vice Chairman of the municipal People’s Committee.
Workers at the HCM City's Department of Industry and Trade handle administrative procedures for local people
Tuyen made the request during a conference held on January 9 to roll out administrative reform tasks in HCM City in 2018.
Information on administrative procedures should be provided to people in a new and prompt manner, in line with the current trend of technology advances, he said, adding that agencies should work to introduce administrative procedures via apps on smart devices.
Tuyen told participants that in 2017, about 92 percent of HCM City’s agencies met the government’s requirements to devise administrative management plans and the city aims to have all agencies met the requirements this year.
Local authorities will focus on implementing Resolution 54 on special mechanisms and policies in terms of apparatus, land management, investment and finance-state budget, he said.
HCM City will form inter-sectoral working groups on investment and construction to ensure right procedures, along with a group managing public debts.
In 2018, the city sets the goal of increasing people’s and businesses’ satisfaction about administrative units and the rate of documents handled through the electronic single-window stood at more than 90 percent.-VNA
