Police in Ho Chi Minh City is seeking for information relating to a foreign man who was recently found dead in the area.

In an announcement released on Tuesday, Ho Chi Minh City's Police Department said that the man's body was found by local people on the morning of January 9 at Lotus Port in Nguyen Van Quynh Street, District 7.

"Initial investigations showed that the body was of a foreign man of about 1.75 metres tall, aged about 35 years old with short hair," police reports.

The man was wearing a brown T-shirt with number "75" and letters "Armani Exchange".

He had many tattoos on his body including a big carp tattoo and some Japanese letters on his left thigh.

Investigation showed that the man was dead before being left at the muddy area.

Police is still further investigating the case.
