The ninth edition of the event will have the theme “Vibrant Crossroads” and feature 120 booths showcasing tourism products and services from many cities and provinces.
Bùi Thị Ngọc Hiếu, deputy director of the city's Department of Tourism, told a recent press briefing that the event is aimed at promoting HCM City’s tourism potential and affirming its role as the country’s largest tourism hub and a safe, alluring and friendly destination.
The event would help localities promote their tourist attractions and unique products and services to locals and international tourists, she said.
On offer will be hundreds of tourism stimulus products at attractive discounts.
Provinces in the north-eastern and north-western regions will hold tourism promotion conferences on the sidelines of the festival.
One of the highlights of the festival will be a job fair on April 7 that will connect tourism businesses with job-seekers.
Visitors can also enjoy a range of regional cuisines and food specialties and music and art shows.
It will be organised by the city Department of Tourism and Tourism Association and is expected to attract 300,000 visitors. — VNS
