This year’s event will mark the 5th consecutive time that Vietnam has hosted the prestigious World Union of Billiards (UMB) tournament.
In this year’s competition, 149 billiards players from 17 different countries will compete with a total of EUR106,000 of prize money on offer.
The overall winner of the tournament will walk away with EUR16,000.
In total, Vietnam will send 29 players to this year’s event. They include world number three Quyet Chien, world number 11 Quoc Nguyen, world number 13 Dinh Nai, world number 23 Minh Cam, and world number 31 Anh Vu.
At last year’s event, Tran Quyet Chien became the first Vietnamese billiards player to win the Three-Cushion Carom Billiards World Cup.
Chien defeated his fellow countryman Ngo Dinh Nai in the final round with a score of 40/39.
Rounding off the top three was Nguyen Quoc Nguyen who finished in third place.
