Despite being banned, many vendors operate on the street, including fire dancers.

Local authorities have strengthened patrols.

In the first six months of this year, as many as 984 cases involving 271 vendors in the area led to fines totalling VND1 billion (USD42,553).

From now until the year-end, District 1 will develop a night economy management plan to boost tourism development.
