The fashion week has the theme of “Taste of Heritage”, aiming to inspire designers to create items that promote Vietnamese culture and heritage.
The collections will feature ready-to-wear designs inspired by the natural landscapes across the country. All designs will be made from eco-friendly materials.
Besides, international designers will join with Vietnamese colleagues to introduce their new collections to local people. Their collections follow sustainable fashion trend which is the supply, production, and consumption of fashion products designed in a way that ensures environmental, social, and economic sustainability.
A string of activities will be held during the fashion week, including an online fashion design contest through Facebook and TikTok platforms, exchanges, workshops on fashion trends, and nearly 20 fashion shows.
The Vietnam International Fashion Week was first held in 2014, and quickly became the leading fashion event in ASEAN. It ranks fourth in Asia after Tokyo, Seoul and Shanghai fashion weeks.
This year marks the 15th edition of the Aquafina Vietnam International Fashion Week (AVIFW).
