For the upcoming Lunar New Year Binh Ngo 2026, Ho Chi Minh City is set to provide major travel support for disadvantaged workers, including 800 airfares, 3,200 train tickets, and 3,500 bus seats to help them return to their hometowns for the holiday.

The Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation has released its Tet 2026 care plan, aiming to ensure union members and workers in need can celebrate the holiday with their families.
According to the plan assigned by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, the Ho Chi Minh City federation will be allocated:
300 one-way plane tickets, each covering one union member or worker and one accompanying family member (spouse, parent, or child). Each recipient will also receive a $12 USD cash gift.
Flights will depart from Tan Son Nhat Airport to Noi Bai (Hanoi), Vinh (Nghe An), and Phu Bai (Hue).
1,200 round-trip train tickets (with air-conditioned soft seats) will be given to workers and up to three accompanying family members, along with a $12 USD cash gift per ticket.
Trains will depart from southern stations including Saigon, Di An (HCMC), and Bien Hoa (Dong Nai), heading to northern stations from Da Nang to Hanoi.
At the city level, the Labor Federation will prioritize workers in especially difficult circumstances or those who haven’t been home for Tet in many years.
It will offer:
2,000 one-way train tickets (air-conditioned soft seats) from Saigon Station (or nearby stations like Di An and Bien Hoa) to northern destinations from Ha Tinh to Hanoi.
500 additional one-way air tickets from Tan Son Nhat Airport to Noi Bai (Hanoi) and Vinh (Nghe An).
About 3,500 one-way bus tickets will also be distributed. Of these, 2,000 are for workers in Ho Chi Minh City proper, 1,000 for those in the former Binh Duong Province, and 500 for workers in the former Ba Ria - Vung Tau Province.
Bus routes will run from Ho Chi Minh City to provinces from Phu Yen to Hanoi.
Altogether, the support package for Tet 2026 includes approximately 800 plane tickets, 3,200 train tickets, and 3,500 bus tickets, offering a vital means for workers to return home and enjoy the holiday season.
