HCM City will spend VND2 billion (USD95,200) on a firework display for National Day on September 2.

This year, the southern city will hold fireworks displays at Thu Thiem Tunnel in in District 2 and in Dam Sen Cultural Park in District 11.

The 15-minute display from 9pm in the locations will cost a total of VND2 billion, including VND1.4 billion for the display near Thu Thiem Tunnel alone.

A photo exhibition in Nguyen Hue and Dong Khoi streets will be held in District 1. Meanwhile, musical performances will be also organised in some areas, including Park 23/9, in Nguyen Hue Street, at the National Culture History Park.
