VietNamNet Bridge – The authorities of District 12, Ho Chi Minh City, have promised to pay VND2-5 million ($100-$250) for those who provide information about criminal cases related to prostitution, human trafficking, drug trading, robbery and gambling.

Those who provide information about criminal cases related to prostitution, human trafficking, drug trading, robbery and gambling to the authorities of District 12, HCM City will be rewarded.


This is the first time such rewards have been applied in Vietnam to encourage people to participate in combating drug, prostitution and human trafficking-related crime, in order to maintain security and order.

Specifically, VND1-VND5 million ($50-$250) reward will be presented to those who catch robbers or provide information to help the police arrest robbers and other criminals.

Those who provide information on printing and distributing of reactionary documents and leaflets infringing upon national security will receive VND2-VND5 million reward.

The bonus is up to VND3 million for those who supply information to help the police discover economic, pollution, and unsafe food violations.

Funding for the program comes from voluntary contribution of organizations and individuals.
