VietNamNet Bridge - In a report to the Ministry of Home Affairs, Ho Chi Minh City proposed to recruit 4,920 employees for public agencies, bringing the total number of personnel in these agencies to more than 131,000 people in 2017.

The increase of personnel this time is to meet the needs of 31 newly established schools and two hospitals.

This is the biggest increase of public personnel in the city during the period 2012-2017. Previously, the highest recruitment campaign was only 3,000 people.

From 2012 to 2015, the city did not receive any denunciations and complaints regarding civil servant payroll management.

The report said that the city encountered difficulties in recruiting more employees for public preschools. These facilities are overloaded but they are not allowed to recruit more employees under regulations of the Ministry of Home Affairs.

HCM City Chairman proposed amendments to these regulations so the city can recruit more employees.
