At a meeting of the Party Central Committee's Commission for Internal Affairs, Nhan said the Government Inspectorate had earlier made an announcement on violations of some municipal officials. However, the responsibilities of the then-municipal People’s Committee and the relevant departments have yet to be revealed.

The municipal Party chief noted that the city had established a working group led by HCMC Chairman Nguyen Thanh Phong to address long-delayed lawsuits brought by local residents.

As for the fight against corruption in HCMC, Nhan stated that last year, the city had scrutinized more than 3,000 out of 3,700 cases reported by local residents, imposing sanctions on nearly 100 Party members and over 140 municipal officials.
