Digital platforms have been put into operation in HCM City

On October 17, within the framework of the "HCM City Digital Transformation Week 2023" with the theme "Exploring digital data, succeeding in digital transformation", the HCM City People's Committee officially put digital platforms into operation in districts, departments, and branches, and in Thu Duc City.

HCM City plans to continue upgrading and developing some digital platforms as follows:

First, the information system for handling administrative procedures. This is a unified digital platform for handling administrative procedures of the city. It responds to all administrative procedures required by the city, aiming to serve people, organizations and businesses in carrying out administrative procedures and online public services conveniently, quickly and economically.

It will also contribute to successfully building the HCM City administration system on digital platforms and strive for the development of a digital government and smart city.

Second, the city's implementation management system on digital platforms. This is a digital platform that synthesizes HCMity socio-economic reports based on the criteria of the city's socio-economic development, and integrates the automated exploitation of the commonly shared database.

It is expected that the management system on the digital platform will initially change the way of directing, regulating and inspecting the city’s operations, thus shifting from paper-based procedures and reports to information system regulation and real-time transactions.

Third, the city’s mapping system. This is a digital map platform commonly used for the entire city. Through this platform, the city integrates spatial data and attributes of relevant units in the locality, forming a shared database to serve the applied software of agencies and units.

The system will provide high-quality and diverse mapping data, including information about addresses, traffic routes, education, healthcare, environment, administration and other fields.

Following the effective promotion of the system for receiving and answering people's inquiries through the 1022 switchboard for many years, the 1022 system will continue to be improved and integrated into the city's hotline, which specializes in receiving complaints and proposals from people and businesses. It is an interaction platform and the official communication channel between local people and municipal authorities, with five reception channels and 15 interaction fields.

Fourth, the HCM City Digital Transformation Index (DTI) assessment system will be launched in 2023. This is a set of indicators to monitor and assess the levels of digital transformation (including digital government, digital economy and digital society) implemented by departments and branches.

DTI is built on six major indicators and 32 component indicators, and is measured with high technology.
