Over the past two days, Da Nang City and the three provinces of Quang Nam, Quang Ngai and Binh Dinh have faced torrential downpours.

 

Hoi An City in Quang Nam Province is facing inudation

In Quang Nam, some sections of the Truong Son Dong route have faced landslides. Many other local roads have been put up to three metres under water.

The water level in Hoi An City and lots of districts, including Dai Loc, Duy Xuyen, Dien Ban, Nong Son, Nui Thanh and Bac Tra My have risen sharply.

As many as 1,237 households with a total of 4,276 people in valuable areas, including Bac Tra My, Nong Son and Tam Ky districts have been evacuated.

Floods have left two dead and one missing in Quang Nam.

In Binh Dinh, floods have damaged many roads, isolating roughly 400 households with a total of 2,000 people in An Lao District.

The rain has damaged a turbine of the Ka Tinh Hydropower Plant, and leaving a worker missing. Around 20,000 people in Tra Bong remain isolated by the floods.
