On November 1, most southern provinces and cities are expected to experience sunshine during the morning and midday, with maximum temperatures generally ranging from 30 to 33 degrees Celsius. Some locations in the southeastern region could see temperatures exceed 33 degrees.

Along the eastern coastal belt stretching from Ho Chi Minh City to Ca Mau, isolated showers may develop as early as midday.

Elsewhere, scattered showers and thunderstorms are expected mainly during the afternoon and evening.

Meteorologists said rainfall in the southeastern region would be concentrated in Lam Dong, northern Dong Nai, Tay Ninh and Ho Chi Minh City.

In the Mekong Delta, An Giang and Ca Mau are expected to see the heaviest rainfall, with some locations experiencing moderate to heavy showers.

Rainfall to ease from November 8, intense midday sunshine expected

The Southern Regional Hydro-Meteorological Center forecasts that the pattern of intermittent daytime sunshine followed by afternoon and evening thunderstorms will persist across Ho Chi Minh City and southern Vietnam through November 7.

From November 8, thunderstorms are expected to decrease significantly in both coverage and intensity across the region.

As rainfall subsides, sunshine is likely to become more intense during the day.

Residents are advised to take precautions against strong midday sunshine, particularly when travelling or participating in outdoor activities, to protect their health.
