Hoi An’s ancient town became a vibrant yet crowded hub as thousands of tourists flocked to the historic site during the National Day holiday on September 2.

This year, the National Day holiday spanned four days, providing ample time for families, friends, and travelers to plan outings. Among the favorite destinations, Hoi An (Quang Nam) stood out as a top choice for many.

According to reports from VietNamNet, despite the scorching weather, crowds began pouring into the ancient town from early afternoon on September 2. At several points, tourists had to inch forward due to the sheer number of people exploring the historic streets.

In addition to domestic visitors, Hoi An also welcomed a significant number of international tourists during this period, signaling a positive outlook for the local tourism industry.

Nguyen Thi My Han, a visitor from Hanoi, expressed her excitement about her second visit to Hoi An with friends. "The scenery and streets are beautiful, preserving the ancient charm. The local people are particularly friendly and hospitable," Han shared, adding that due to the intense daytime heat, her group decided to wait until late afternoon to visit the town.
