Highlights will be a ceremony to announce Hoi An as a member of the UNESCO Creative Cities Network and a countdown party at An Hoi Sculpture Garden on the evening of December 31.
Many other exciting activities will be held, including a space for art installations, a craft product showcase, and an exhibition featuring photos of Hoi An’s tourism snapped by both professional and amateur photographers nationwide.
Furthermore, a food fair to display and introduce a range of traditional cuisine to locals and international visitors, workshops on cuisine, a dancing festival, and a video making contest are expected to bring a festive atmosphere to participants.
A tea ceremony to celebrate the New Year 2024 will be organised on the morning of January 1. In addition, a ceremony to welcome the first group of tourists to Hoi An will also take place at Ba Mu Temple on the same day.
The annual festive event takes place as part of Hoi An’s activities which seek to promote local tourism among domestic and international tourists.
