VietNamNet Bridge – The Hoi An International Food Festival 2016 will take place from March 14 to 20 at the An Hoi Statue Garden and the old town of Hoi An, with the participation of 13 world-renowned chefs.

The highlight of this festival is the program "Tasting tour with world chefs".

This is the chance for visitors to taste the dishes prepared by 13 world-famous chefs and chefs from 13 big restaurants in Hoi An.

The Festival will also introduce famous dishes of Hoi An such as Quang noodles, cao lau, chicken rice, dumplings, vac cake ...

Famous chefs will perform how they make local cakes like banh it, banh khoai and banh da lon.

The organizing board said the festival will be the first of its kind in Vietnam, celebrating global food and the finest locally sourced ingredients.

It aims to give participants the chance to savor food from around the world while enjoying a festival atmosphere.

Hoi An is famous for its cuisine. In 2011, TripAdvisor honored the old town in the "Top destinations with the best food in the world".

In 2013, Quang noodles and Cao Lau were recognized by the Asian Record Organization as some of the best Asian dishes.
