Huynh Minh Huy of Vietnam failed to make his second round match at the Vietnam F1 Men’s Futures yesterday in Binh Duong Province.

French Antoine Escoffier beat Vietnamese Huynh Minh Huy in the first round of the Vietnam Men’s Future.

Huy was defeated 0-6, 0-6 by Antoine Escoffier of France who is seeded No 2 here.

In other matches, No 7 Gengo Kikuchi of Japan won 6-3, 6-4 over Indian Mohit Mayur Jayaprakash; Japanese Jumpei Yamasaki beat Thai Congsup Congcar 6-3, 7-5; and No 3 Kento Takeuchi trounced Hiromasa Oku 6-2, 6-2 in an all-Japanese match.

The first round continues today with Việt Nam representative Nguyen Hoang Thien versus No 5 seed Christopher Rungkat of Indonesia.

Three pairs of the hosts also start their journey today in the doubles event.

National No 1 Ly Hoang Nam and Thiên will play Yu Hsiang Chiu and Jumpei Yamasaki; Minh Huy and Le Quoc Khanh will meet No 3 duo Shintaro Imai and Kento Takeuchi and Trinh Linh Giang and Vu Artem will face No 1 seed Jake Delaney and Farren Polkinghorne.
