Vam Nao is an island in Cho Moi district (An Giang province). In the flooding season, visitors can witness the unique phenomenon of water flow changing from the Tien River to the Hau River. 

At Vam Nao in the flooding season (August through November), tourists can row along canals to see locals catching fish or taste fresh water caltrop.

Tra Su cajeput forest is beautiful during October and November.

It is best to visit this site in the early morning.

Bung Binh Thien Lake, also in An Giang, is one of the largest freshwater lakes in southern Vietnam. It is very near the Vietnam and Cambodia border and is connected to the Binh Di River. The formation of this lake is related to a legend about a general.

From September through November, water from the upstream flows to the lake, creating a huge mirror. 

Ta Pa is another destination in An Giang province. In the flood season, the field of Ta Pa becomes a large carpet.

Tram Chim National Park in Tam Nong District, Dong Thap Province covers about 7,000 hectares. It was recognized as a Ramsar site in 2012. 

Visitors should row a boat to see lotuses and dien dien flowers, and enjoy delicious dishes from linh fish.

Wandering in orchards is also a pleasant experience. There are many famous fruit gardens such as Vinh Kim in Tien Giang province, Cai Mon in Ben Tre province, or My Khanh in Can Tho city.

Visiting orchards, you will not only have a chance to taste fresh fruit of all kinds but also listen to tai tu music (southern folk music).

Sa Dec flower village in Dong Thap province is beautiful all year round with hundreds of flower species.

Nga Nam floating market in Soc Trang province is one of the three largest floating markets in the Mekong Delta. The market opens from dawn until 10 am.

Besides exploring the markets, you should not miss the opportunity to buy local specialties or enjoy Vietnamese snacks sold on boats.
