A Vietjet Air flight had to make an emergency landing following an inaccurate technical warning.

Flight VJ198 which was heading to Hanoi on November 19 had to return to Tan Son Nhat International Airport in HCM City 30 minutes after taking off after the flight crew saw a technical warning on the screen.

Passengers were terribly frightened and flight attendants instructed passengers to prepare for a potentially difficult landing.

According to a representative from the airline, the warning was later defined to be inaccurate and the aeroplane has flown again.

All the passengers were booked on to alternative flights.
