The tournament, which began two days ago, saw Gangjee claim a cash prize of 17,500 USD from a total pool of 100,000 USD, along with a trophy crafted from the renowned Chu Dau pottery village in the northern province of Hai Duong.
It took place on a par-73 course designed by the legendary Jack Nicklaus, offering a challenging yet picturesque setting for the golfers.
Speaking at the closing ceremony, Vice Chairman of the municipal People's Committee and Chairman of the tournament organising committee Tran Chi Cuong said the BRG Open Golf Championship is part of the Asian Development Tour (ADT), attracting most of the leading players in the ADT order of merit.
The tournament saw the participation of 19 Vietnamese golfers, with four qualifying for the final round, namely Nguyen Tuan Anh, Truong Chi Quan, Nguyen Huu Quyet, and Doan Uy. Notably, Anh achieved the best result among the Vietnamese players, finishing 11th on the leaderboard and earning the title of Best Amateur.
This year marks the third consecutive time Da Nang has hosted the BRG Open Golf Championship, solidifying the city’s reputation as a “Top Event and Festival Destination in Asia”.
