Indonesia came from behind to beat Viet Nam 21-25, 20-25, 25-23, 25-19, 15-12 in the first semi-finals of the International Women’s Volleyball Tournament, the VTV Cup, in Hai Duong Province yesterday.

The Cup will be the last practice tournament for both the two teams ahead of their Southeast Asian Games in Malaysia next month.

In the match for classification held earlier yesterday, China’s Bejing University beat Thailand Youth team 25-14, 25-17, 25-13.

The win took Indonesia to the tomorrow’s final, where they will play the winner of the match between Japanese Students and South Korean Suwon Club. The second semi-final match will be held today.

The losers in the two semi-finals will vie for the bronze medal hours before the final.

The champions will pocket US$10,000.
