Representatives from the Vietnamese Embassy see off the fishermen at the airport.

The fishermen, due to limits in foreign languages and a lack of legal knowledge, were arrested and put on trial for violations of Indonesian sea territory.

Most of them were detained from a few months to two years.

According to the Vietnamese Embassy, the Indonesian authorities will release about 30 Vietnamese fishermen from now to the Lunar New Year (which falls on February 8 this year).

On January 20, three fishermen were sent back home.
