VietNamNet Bridge – A plan to review personnel and the administrative apparatus in the Ministry of Industry and Trade (MOIT) is underway, under which a number of high-ranking officials will be rotated or dismissed.
Minister of Trade and Industry Tran Tuan Anh.
The changes will be finalized and announced this month.
The ministry’s officials said that reform of administrative apparatus is an urgent task, in line with Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc’s instruction.
The reform of personnel will be conducted openly and transparently to ensure that the machine operates smoothly, meeting the requirements of economic and social development, they said.
Along with the review of the administrative apparatus and personnel, the Ministry will also check a series of legal documents which have been criticized as unclear, raising difficulty for businesses and people, and failing to take advantage of the opportunities brought by international integration.
The Ministry will take measures to promote industries and the service sector, particularly the mining industry.
MOIT officials confirmed that it would tighten management of multi-level businesses in the coming time.
It is believed that the plan was made after several recent scandals related to MOIT’s officials, including the appointment of Trinh Xuan Thanh and Vu Quang Hai.
