Update news infection cases
Two new COVID-19 infection cases, including one relating to Hanoi-based Bach Mai Hospital, were confirmed by the Ministry of Health on April 4 morning, raising the total number of patients nationwide to 239.
Authorities in Hanoi have ordered the temporary closure of bars, massage parlours, karaoke clubs and cinemas to avoid large crowds.
Vietnamese citizens and passengers entering Vietnam are now able to declare their health status via two applications, namely “NCOVI” and “Vietnam health declaration” that were launched in Hanoi on March 9.
Another case of COVID-19 was detected in Vietnam at 19:30 on March 8, raising the total number of cases in the country to 30.
Vietnam on March 7 afternoon reported two more COVID-19 infection cases related to a female patient named N.H.N confirmed to be infected with the novel coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 a day earlier, said the Ministry of Health.
Vietnamese PM Nguyen Xuan Phuc and Indonesian President Joko Widodo emphasised the need to boost cooperation among countries in ASEAN to cope with coronavirus during their telephone talks on February 4.
