IJF President Marius Vizer, Viet Nam Sports Administration Chairman Vuong Bich Thang and Vietnam Judo Association (VJA) President Nguyen Manh Hung, a member of the Viet Nam Olympic Committee, were recently on hand to sign the agreements at the office of the IJF in Budapest.
Accordingly, the IJF will promote judo in Vietnam and help the national team achieve good results at the Asian Championships, Olympic Games and on the IJF World Tour.
This will include the IJF sending judo experts to the country.
The meeting helps the way for Vietnam to develop their next generation of judokas as the parties signed a deal to introduce judo in 15 Vietnamese schools.
Vietnam sent one judoka, Van Ngoc Tu, to the last summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro in 2016.
