The 2018 International U21 Football Tournament run by Thanh Nien (Young People) newspaper will be held in Hue next month.

The U21 international football tournament will be held at the Hue’s Tự Do Stadium.

It will be the second time the competition has been held in the ancient city.

Early this month, Hue also hosted the National U21 Championship.

Previously, the international event was scheduled to be held in Nha Trang, however, because of bad weather forecast for the city, it was moved to Huế, according to Phan Ngọc Thọ, chairman of Thừa Thiên-Huế Province People’s Committee.

Teams from Myanmar, Malaysia, South Korea and the hosts will compete at the Tự Do Stadium.

The Vietnamese team will include best players from November’s national event. 

Last year, Japanese representative Yokohama lifted the trophy in Cần Thơ Province. — VNS
