The Binh Duong International Women’s Cycling Tournament: Biwase Cup 2019 concluded in the southern province of Binh Duong on March 16 with the Japanese team winning the championship title.

The Samyang team of the RoK and Biwase Binh Duong team of Vietnam took the second and third places, respectively.
In the final stage from Ba Ria-Vung Tau to Binh Duong, Thai cyclist Jutatip Maneephan covered 110km after 2:45:31 to come first, followed by Jupha Somnet of Malaysia and Lee Joon-hee of the Republic of Korea (RoK).
Meanwhile, Shoko Kashiki of Japan won the yellow jersey of the tournament with a time of 22:56:51. Hiromi Kaneko, another cyclist of Japan, came second while Tran Thi Kim Anh of Dong Thap Lottery was ranked third.
Cyclist Nguyen Thi Kim Cuong of Can Tho City team won the white jersey for the best young cyclist of the tourney.
The annual tournament drew the participation of 80 female cyclists in nine domestic and seven foreign teams, including two teams from Japan, and one each from the Republic of Korea, Malaysia, Thailand, the Philippines, and Australia.
The competition was co-organised by the Vietnam Cycling and Sport Motors Federation and the Binh Duong Water Supply Sewerage-Environment Co., Ltd., (Biwase).
With a total length of over 800 km, female cyclists competed in nine stages and conquer sloping passes such as Bao Loc and Prenn in Lam Dong province, Cu Hin in the central province of Nha Trang, and Vinh Hy in the central province of Ninh Thuan. –VNA
