Retail chains have reported that orders for iPhone 14 are increasing rapidly and some versions are running out.
According to Tran Duc Tin from The Gioi Di Dong (Mobile World), within the first 60 minutes of taking orders on October 7, 5,000 clients ordered the Apple next-generation iPhones.
“This is an unprecedented figure,” Tin said.
CellphoneS also said that some versions have been selling out. iPhone 14 Pro Max 128GB with all colors have been ordered. The next delivery is expected on October 24.
Nguyen Lac Huy, a representative of CellphoneS, said deep purple and silver models have run out and people will have to wait for delivery in the second delivery campaign.
“The figures show the extremely high attractiveness of this year’s iPhone series,” he said.
FPT has not made an official announcement about the number of orders. However, as of October 6, the retail chain had more than 80,000 registrations for early ownership of genuine iPhone 14.
Of these, more than two-thirds chose iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max. The number of orders for iPhone 14 Pro Max 128GB accounted for 40 percent. Deep purple is the most wanted color this year, with 70 percent of users.
“We are astonished about the number of registrations (80,000). This is a figure which exceeds all expectations about the number of users so far,” said Nguyen The Kha from FPT Shop & F. Studio by FPT.
Apple allowed Vietnamese retailers to begin taking orders and deposits from October 7. Retailers in Vietnam are allowed to take orders three weeks after the official launch of iPhone 14. In previous years, they took orders earlier.
Before allowing people to place orders on October 7, retailers allowed clients to register to receive information. In general, clients who registered and made deposits early get delivery first and received more gifts than clients who did not register.
Apple launched the iPhone 14 series on September 7, with the biggest changes seen in the iPhone 14 Pro. The products are equipped with Dynamic Island, an interaction center with users placed at the front cameras, instead of at the notch.
The two versions have a higher camera resolution of 48MP, instead of 12MP. Meanwhile, there is no considerable improvement in terms of hardware and design for iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus, so they have received less attention from Vietnamese users.
