Cốc Cốc recently released its Q2/2024 Search Trends Report, revealing that entertainment content currently leads in search volume, increasing nearly 3.5 times compared to the previous quarter. Searches related to travel, sports, finance, real estate, and technology also showed significant growth.

In the technology sector, ChatGPT and Scratch were the most searched keywords. With the launch of ChatGPT-4o ("o" stands for "omni") in May 2024, searches for ChatGPT surged by 88% from the previous quarter.

Notably, the keyword Scratch, referring to the visual programming language for children aged 8 to 16, saw a remarkable 239% increase in searches. This spike is attributed to parents and students seeking programming courses during the summer break.

Despite not yet being released, the iPhone 16 has captured significant attention, with speculations about its upgrades driving a 106% increase in searches from the previous quarter.

As high-tech scams become increasingly sophisticated, they pose a growing concern for internet users. New fraudulent tactics, such as fake government service apps and QR code scams, are continually emerging. Consequently, Vietnamese users are actively seeking information to protect themselves. Searches related to online fraud increased by 25% compared to the previous quarter.

Launched in 2013, Cốc Cốc is a rare example of a Vietnamese-developed web browser and search engine. It currently holds the second-largest market share in Vietnam for browsers and search engines, proudly embodying the "Make in Vietnam" spirit.
