One of the Signature 27’s biggest selling points is its AI capabilities. The phone integrates Google Gemini, which can perform tasks such as planning trips, making restaurant reservations and finding tickets to events rather than simply answering questions. Gemini is also integrated with a wider range of apps and services.

Motorola has also equipped the phone with Gemini Omni, which can turn prompts, existing photos or videos into complete AI-generated videos. Gemini Lyria, meanwhile, can help users create music.

On the camera front, the Signature 27 features a 50MP main camera using a Sony LYTIA sensor and a 200MP periscope telephoto camera designed for shooting distant subjects such as landscapes, architecture and stage performances.

The rear camera system includes four cameras in total, although Motorola has yet to disclose their full specifications.

The phone also features a Video Enhancement Engine that uses AI to analyze scenes and adjust colors. Motorola said the combination of AI, camera hardware and video features is designed to produce images at a quality aimed at professional users.

The Signature 27 is also Motorola’s first smartphone developed in partnership with Bang & Olufsen (B&O) for its audio system.

Motorola has equipped the phone with an ArcticMesh cooling system combining thermal gel, liquid metal, copper mesh and a 3D vapor chamber that is 40% larger than on the previous generation. The system is designed to keep temperatures under control during gaming, video recording and extended use of AI features.

Motorola promises seven years of operating system updates and seven years of security updates, matching the support policies offered on some premium smartphones from Samsung and Google.

The company has yet to reveal the Signature 27’s price, battery capacity, charging speed or display specifications.

The phone will be available in two colors and is expected to launch before the end of 2026.
