Israeli President Reuven Ruvi Rivlin and his spouse on March 22 visited the northern province of Quang Ninh and the UNESCO-recognised world natural heritage of Ha Long Bay as part of their ongoing visit to Vietnam from March 19-25.

Vice Chairwoman of the Quang Ninh People’s Committee Vu Thi Thu Thuy welcomed the guests, introducing the local socio-economic development as well as the natural beauty of the province and the bay.

President Rivlin said that he is delighted to visit Ha Long Bay, a famous heritage site. He also thanked provincial leaders for their warm welcome.

The couple is scheduled to leave for Ho Chi Minh City later the same day.

Earlier, during his stay in Hanoi, the Israel President had talks with President Tran Dai Quang, met Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong and Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc, while attending a Vietnam-Israel defence industry forum and a business forum.
