Japanese designer Junko Koshino launched her new collection at a Hanoi fashion show on September 23 as part of "Japan day - Fullmoon Festival", as part of the celebrations of 45 years of diplomatic ties between Vietnam and Japan.
Miss Universe Osaka Anri opens the fashion show in a spiky design. The “Spectrum” collection reflects interactive world, showing the reconciliation between tradition and modernity, the past and the future. Junko Koshino combines many materials to show the beauty of opposites which is a key inspiration behind her designs. Her collection features many strikingly avant-garde designs. Geometric patterns are used to create illusions of shapes and space.
Metallic materials are one of the hot trends this year, they are widely used by the Japanese designer at the end of the fashion show. The collection becomes more and more bizarre with long and springy lantern-shaped designs. This is Junko’s second fashion show in Hanoi since 1994. From 2006-2009, she served as a jury member for the Vietnam Collection Grand Prix fashion design contest.
The 79-year-old designer greets the audience at the end of the fashion show. |
